JSC "ATHCO-TRANS" is port agents and freight forwarders based in Mariupol. The company's history begins in 2002.


AGENCY. Operating in the marine business we offer a complete ship's service for the port of Mariupol, and through our close agents for the ports of Berdyansk, Kerch and Theodosia. The first and foremost aim of our work is rendering services to shipowners, operators or charterers, avoiding extra expenses during vessel’s call at the port and minimising ship’s disbursement. “ATHCO-TRANS” will help to purchase necessary supplies, provisions, bunkers and fresh water, provide laundry services, repair the ship and its machines, obtain passenger transport services and acquire medical aid.

To know everything about a port is very important. Here you can find useful information that may help you to know what information we need before ship's arrival in the port, which document the ship's administration must prepare for inward and outward formalities, the port customs and regulations, restrictions, organisation working in the port, Ukrainian legislation acts, etc.

    - What is the working hours in the port?
    Ports are working 24 hours, 7 days per week including holidays.
    - Are there any restrictions in the port?
    Mariupol: 8m draft, 250m maximum LOA, closed sewage system with holding tank.
    Bedyansk: 7.9m maximum draft, 205m maximum LOA, closed sewage system with holding tank.
    - Can you arrange supplies with fresh water, bunker, provision, etc?
    Our company can arrange fresh water, MGO, LO, provision, etc. We may send a request for quotation. IFO is not available in Mariupol and Berdyansk ports.
    - Do you load / discharge the ship by means of shore cranes or ship's cranes?
    Bulk cargoes are loaded / discharged only by shore cranes. General cargoes are loaded / discharged mostly by shore cranes, and if port demands by ship's cranes. Heavyweight and oversized cargoes may be loaded / discharges by floating cranes.
    - What is loading rate in Mariupol? This is official loading rate of the port of Mariupol. The charterer may give you another rate.
    Clay in bulk - 5000 mts per day in summer, 4000 mts per day in winter.
    Coal in bulk - 7000 mts per day for big sized coal, 8000 mts per day using Coal Loading Complex at pier 14 in summer, 6000 mts per day using Coal Loading Complex at pier 14 in winter, 1600 mts per day direct variant.
    Pigiron in bulk - 3000 mts per day.
    Steel plates - 2000 mts per day.
    Steel wire - 1200 mts per day.
    Steel billets in bundles - 3000 mts per day.
    Steel slabs - 4500 mts per day.
    Steel coils - 3000 mts per day for coil weight less than 9 mts, 3500 mts per day for coil weight more than 9 mts.

  4. Visitors and Crew Change

    - Signing on of Ukrainian and foreign crew member.Two working days prior ship's arrival in the port we need a copy of crew list and national passport. Regret to say we cannot arrange foreign crew member change because of military activity in our region. - Crew relatives visit. Two working days prior ship's arrival in the port we need a copy of additional crew list of crew relatives. - Company representatives and other visitors.
    Five working days prior ship's arrival in the port we need a copy of traveling passport with valid visa if necessary, a letter from the company where stated visitor's name, citizenship, position, reason and date of visit. - Airports where we can meet visitors and arrange transfer to Mariupol. None. Mariupol airport does not operate. Donetsk airport destroyed.
